SALARY:                Negotiable* + OTE Bonus (*Placement on salary scale will depend on level of experience)

JOB OVERVIEW:

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Accountant who is driven and wants to take the next step in their career in Corporate Finance. You will report directly to the Directorate / Partner Team providing a wide range of commercial solutions whilst working with them to develop the advisory offering of the firm. 

THE TEAM:

  • We are a specialised team of experts in the excess of 10 employees with strategic plans in place to double in size and fees in the next 5 years.
  • We have been involved in deals with a combined value of more than £100M in the last 5 years.
  • We have experienced significant growth in the department in recent years via specialised revenue lines with opportunities for growth across each service offering moving forward.

THE ROLE:

  • Play a key role in mergers and acquisitions including researching and profiling potential acquisition targets and prospective buyers, preparation of Information Memoranda, liaising with legal advisors and development of deal structure
  • Perform Due Diligence on M&A transactions
  • Preparation of businesses valuations including drafting valuation reports
  • Create financial models to forecast business performance
  • Assist in the arrangement of debt and equity finance for acquisitions and financial restructuring
  • Preparation of business plans and strategic plans
  • Networking and business development activity

THE CRITERIA:

Essential:

  • Be a fully qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)

Desirable:

  • Experience within either Corporate Finance or Forensic Services
  • A minimum of two years’ post qualified experience is preferred but not essential

THE PERSON:

  • A self-starter with motivation and enthusiasm to engage in growth activity;
  • Have a strong interest and awareness of the commercial environment and have the ability to grasp complex commercial and financing issues quickly;
  • Hold strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, including report writing and presentation skills;
  • Have the ability to work independently, prioritise and work within set deadlines.
