Our highly reputable Client, J&A Construction NI Ltd ,based in Co Tyrone has the requirement for a Graduate Engineer to join their team due to an expanding portfolio of projects across the commercial, retail and residential industry within NI & ROI. Role & Responsibilities;
- Assisting in the management of construction projects
- Overseeing building work
- Undertaking surveys as and when required
- Assist with the setting out of sites and organising facilities
- Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly
- Assist in ensuring projects meet agreed specifications, budgets or timescales
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors and other professional staff, quantity surveyors and the overall project manager
- Providing technical advice and solving problems on site
- Preparing site reports and filling in other paperwork
- Liaising with quantity surveyors about the ordering and negotiating the price of materials
- Ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to
- Management and co-ordinating employees and subcontractors on-site
Essential Criteria;
- Engineering degree level or 3rd level equivalent qualification
- Proven technical competence and experience throughout placement year
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team, and to lead and motivate others
- Excellent communicator
- Motivated to learn
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
