Fermanagh Herald Business Awards 2017
In their 6th year, the Fermanagh Herald Business Awards celebrate local business success, in particular those who show initiative, business acumen and a great determination to grow the local economy.
This year's awards ceremony took place Friday 13 October 2017 at Lough Erne Resort. It celebrated the success of winners and highly commended nominees across eight categories:
- Best Start Up Business Award (sponsored by South West College)
- Excellence in Customer Service Award (sponsored by First Trust Bank)
- Growth Through Export Award (sponsored by CavanaghKelly)
- Best Tourism Initiative Award (Fermanagh Lakeland Tourism)
- Business Excellence (Fermanagh & Omagh District Council)
- Restaurant of the Year Award (Gortrush Food Services)
- Lifetime Achievement Award (Enniskillen BID)
- Fermanagh Herald Business Person of the Year
The winners on the night included:
- Greentown Traffic Management Ltd - Best Start Up
- Belmore Dental Studio & Implant Clinic - Excellence in Customer Service
- McElwaine Security Services - Growth Through Export
- Erne Water Taxi - Best Tourism Initiative
- JFC Distribution Ltd -Business Excellence
- The Tap House - Restaurant of the Year
- Ivan Kee - Lifetime Achievement
- Michael Liddle - Business Person of the Year
A great evening was had by all and despite an earlier incident at the Lough Erne Resort, in which a fire broke out adjacent to the Hotel's reception area, the awards ceremony was able to go ahead.
Well done to all involved in organising and hosting the event and a hugh congratulations to all the finalists and winners on the night.
