POST: Senior Associate (Business, Recovery & Insolvency)

LOCATION: Dungannon, County Tyrone.
SALARY: Negotiable* + OTE Bonus (*Placement on salary scale will depend on level of experience)
REPORTS TO: Directorate / Partner Team
JOB OVERVIEW:
CavanaghKelly are a leading Accountancy and Business Advisory practice within Northern Ireland. Having enjoyed continued success and growth within the local market we would like you will be part of a successful and busy team where you will gain exposure to various levels and teams across the Practice. There will also be opportunities for the successful candidate to develop their own career path and opportunity to progress to a senior level within the practice.
*This role is not limited by qualification and is open to all disciplines (refer to criteria).
THE ROLE:
- Regular review of job recoverability, ensuring that recoverability is in line with departmental targets addressing areas where targets have not been met and setting in place a process to improve same.
- Regular review of insolvent business and communication with creditors.
- Data processing, reviewing financial information and producing first drafts of reports
- Assisting the director and/or partner in preparing for meetings
- Liaising with solicitors and creditors
- Procedural matters such as filing, reporting, document preparation and statutory compliance
- Management of case queries
THE CRITERIA:
Essential:
- Honours degree (2.1 or above)
- Good commercial knowledge and understanding of how organisations operate, including those operating in the public and third sectors.
Desirable:
- Previous experience of working in insolvency is preferable but not essential
THE PERSON:
- Self-starter with motivation and enthusiasm to engage in growth activity
- Strong business acumen
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, including report writing and presentation skills
- The ability to work independently, prioritise and work within set deadlines.
