2018 Omagh Business Awards are launched

The 2018 Omagh Business Awards opened today at a launch event held at the Silverbirch Hotel.

The aim of the awards is to celebrate local business dedication, commitment and success and in particular celebrate those who show initiative, business acumen and a great determination to grow the local economy.

Entries close Wednesday 28 March and winners will be announced at the Omagh Business Awards Gala Dinner on Friday 15 June 2018, at the Silverbirch Hotel, Omagh.

The Omagh Business Awards are open to the local business community in the entire Omagh District and in particular rural enterprises are being encouraged to become involved this year. Entering the awards is simple and free and this year will see the introduction of new award categories:

  • Best Start Up Business Award
  • Apprentice of the Year
  • Retailer of the Year
  • Excellence in Manufacturing & Engineering
  • Best use of Social & Digital Media
  • Investing in People
  • Innovation in Professional Services
  • Health & Wellbeing
  • Business Person of the Year

CavanaghKelly are pleased to be sponsor for the Investing in People Award.  For this award the judges will be looking for a business who leads, supports and develops their people to achieve outstanding results benefiting both the individual and the business.  The category will be judged on the following criteria:

Process

Individuals and businesses are invited to enter via the Ulster Herald website. The closing date for entries is Wednesday 28 March after which the juding panel will then shortlist.
