Northern Ireland Rural Development Programme 2014-2020

Mid Ulster Rural Development Partnership is responsible for delivering LEADER funding throughout Mid Ulster District Council under the 2014 – 2020 NI Rural Development Programme.

The Partnership is now seeking applications under the Rural Business Investment Scheme from businesses operating within the following themed areas:

  • Rural Innovation – targeting businesses in IT, creative industries, rural tourism and rural service enterprises delivering innovative services/products
  • Rural Youth - applicable to business owners aged 18-30

Within the above themes micro/small businesses and social economy enterprises who are rurally based and involved in non-agricultural /non agri-food related activities may be eligible to apply. Job creation and export potential are key objectives of the Rural Business Investment Scheme.

All businesses intending to apply must attend a mandatory pre-application funding workshop to be eligible to make an application. The workshop dates are as follows:

PLEASE NOTE: The individual(s) attending the workshop MUST be the business owner or a director who is an authorised signatory for the business.

Attendance at the funding workshop does not constitute an offer of funding. The application process will be competitive and not every application will be funded.
